Vol. 2 No. 3 (2024): Articles on September 2024
This academic journal issue presents a collection of research papers focused on advancing safety, efficiency, and digitalization within airport operations and aviation-related sectors. The issue covers a wide range of topics, beginning with the development of an inspection application for airside and landside facilities, aimed at enhancing safety protocols and streamlining operational efficiency. Another paper explores the digitalization of cargo data management at H. Hasan Aroeboesman Ende Airport through a website-based information system, which reduces manual errors and optimizes the handling of incoming cargo. The issue also includes a study on the design of a gas leakage detection system with an automatic fan, using Tsukamoto Fuzzy Logic and Arduino technology to ensure workplace safety in welding environments at Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic. In the realm of resource management, a prototype design of a clean water distribution control system utilizing Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) technology and Android integration is discussed, aiming to optimize water distribution through automation. Additionally, the issue features a web-based flight schedule reminder application, which helps passengers stay updated with real-time flight information, reducing the risk of missed flights and improving travel efficiency. A final paper presents the development of an electronic training module for aviation security personnel, focusing on the manual screening of individuals using Handheld Metal Detectors (HHMD). This module enhances training in basic aviation security courses, offering practical, hands-on experience to improve the skills of security staff. Overall, this journal issue highlights the importance of digital innovation, automation, and system optimization in addressing contemporary challenges in airport management, aviation safety, and related industrial operations. The research papers collectively demonstrate how technological advancements can drive improvements in operational workflows, resource management, and safety standards across the aviation sector.
