Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts for consideration. Submissions are evaluated for alignment with the journal’s aims and scope, followed by peer review for suitable manuscripts prior to final acceptance decisions.

Stage 1. Preparing Your Submission

Overview

Authors must ensure that manuscripts comply with the journal guidelines and submission requirements. Before submission, authors should obtain permission for any included photos, documents, or datasets, and secure ethical approval where required by applicable regulations. Submissions must present original research that has not been published or submitted elsewhere. Authors must also complete and submit the required declaration form.

The following checklist helps authors verify your preparations:

1. Manuscript (mandatory),

2. Supplementary Files (strongly advised), authors are encouraged to make their data available for use by others in extending or replicating the results reported in their articles. Read more our Data Availability Policy.
3. Permissions and Consent (if necessary), authors must confirm that they have obtained permission to publish any third-party materials used in the manuscript included photos, documents, or datasets.
4. Ethics Approval (if necessary), research has been approved by an ethics committee in compliance with national legal requirements.

Manuscript Template

Authors must download and use the official manuscript template provided by the journal.

Plagiarism Detection

The submitted manuscript would be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin or Compilatio.

Stage 2. Submitting Your Manuscript

Authors must submit their manuscript through the journal’s Online Journal System (OJS). Before starting the submission process, authors must ensure that they have an active account and logging in to the journal system. If the author does not have an account, please register first before proceeding with the submission.

The submission process includes:

1. Read the Submission Guidelines.
   Make sure your manuscript follows the journal requirements before submission.
2. Enter Manuscript Title.
   Provide the complete title of your article in English.
3. Complete the Submission Checklist.
   Confirm that your manuscript meet formatting and structural requirements.
4. Confirm Declaration and Privacy Consent.
   Confirm that all information provided is correct and agree to the journal’s privacy statement.
5. Complete the Submission Details.
   Provide the keywords and abstract of your article in English.
6. Upload Manuscript (mandatory) and Supplementary Files (strongly advised).
   Provide any files our editorial team may need to evaluate your submission. In addition to the main work, you may wish to submit data sets, conflict of interest statements, or other supplementary files if these will be helpful for our editors.
7. Add Author Information.
   Provide details of all authors, including names, affiliations, and contact information.
8. Review and Submit.
   Check all information carefully, make corrections if needed, confirm the copyright terms and submit the manuscript for review.

Stage 3. Editorial Screening and Peer Review

After submission, the manuscript will undergo an editorial screening and peer review process to ensure its quality, originality, and suitability for publication.

The review process includes:

1. Editorial Assessment.
   The editor conducts an initial evaluation of the submitted manuscript by assessing its scope and relevance to the journal, checking submission completeness, verifying compliance with journal formatting and structural requirements, and conducting a plagiarism check to ensure originality and academic integrity.
2. Peer Review.
   The editor conducts a two-round peer review process to evaluate the manuscript’s quality, originality, methodology, and contribution. Additional review rounds may be conducted if necessary to ensure that the manuscript meets the journal’s academic and publication standards.
3. Revision Process.
   Authors may be requested to revise their manuscript based on reviewer and editor comments. Authors should address all comments carefully and submit the revised version within the given timeframe.
4. Final Decision.
   After completing the review and revision process, the editor makes the final decision regarding acceptance, further revision, or rejection of the manuscript.

Stage 4. Copyediting

After the manuscript is accepted, it enters the copyediting stage to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy before publication. The copyeditor reviews the manuscript for language quality, grammar, formatting consistency, citation and reference accuracy, and adherence to the journal’s style requirements. The edited manuscript may be returned to the authors for final review and approval before proceeding to the production stage.

Stage 5. Production and Publication

After completing the copyediting and final approval process, the manuscript proceeds to the production stage. The journal team prepares the final article for publication, including final formatting, layout preparation, metadata verification, and quality checks. Authors are advised to refer to the Publication Schedule for information regarding the journal’s publication timeline and issue release schedule. Once the production process is completed, the article is published on the journal platform and made available to the academic community with its assigned publication details, such as volume, issue, and DOI.

Data Availability Policy

The objective of the Appissode Journal is to facilitate the broad dissemination of scholarly knowledge through systematic research and academic inquiry in the field of technology, encompassing both professional practice and educational development. To support research transparency, reproducibility, and further advancement of knowledge, authors are encouraged to make their research data accessible to other researchers for verification, extension, or replication of the findings reported in their articles. For manuscripts presenting data-dependent results, authors should provide a statement regarding the availability of the underlying data and, where applicable, include relevant information on the procedures or channels through which the data can be accessed.

Withdrawal Policy

Authors may request the withdrawal of their manuscript before publication by submitting a formal withdrawal request to the editorial office, including the reason for withdrawal. The withdrawal request must be approved by all authors and submitted through the official journal communication channel. Manuscripts that have entered the peer review, revision, or production stage may only be withdrawn under valid circumstances and with approval from the editor. Once an article has been officially published, withdrawal is only permitted in exceptional cases, such as ethical violations, significant errors, or other circumstances requiring retraction in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policies. Any withdrawal process must follow the journal’s procedures to maintain transparency, academic integrity, and responsible scholarly publishing practices.

Open Access Policy

The Appissode Journal is committed to providing open access to all published articles to support the wider dissemination of scholarly knowledge and promote global access to research findings. All articles published by the journal are freely available online without subscription or access fees, allowing readers to read, download, share, and use the published content for academic and research purposes in accordance with the applicable licensing terms. The journal supports the principles of open science by encouraging transparency, accessibility, and the responsible sharing of scholarly information while maintaining proper attribution to the original authors and sources.

Publication Ethics

The Appissode Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity throughout the research and publication process. The journal follows ethical principles to ensure transparency, fairness, responsibility, and accountability among authors, editors, reviewers, and all parties involved in scholarly publishing.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts represent original work, have not been published or submitted elsewhere, properly acknowledge the contributions of others, and provide accurate data and information. Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and comply with relevant research ethics requirements.

Editors are responsible for conducting fair and objective evaluations of submitted manuscripts, maintaining confidentiality throughout the review process, and making publication decisions based on academic quality, originality, relevance, and compliance with journal standards.

Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and confidential evaluations of manuscripts. Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and avoid using unpublished information obtained during the review process for personal or professional advantage.

The journal does not tolerate unethical practices, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, or any form of research misconduct. Any suspected ethical violations will be investigated and addressed in accordance with established publication ethics principles and applicable guidelines.
