Design of Web Based Apron Inspection Management Application Using the 4D Model at Halu Oleo Airport Kendari

Abstract

In the daily operations of Apron Movement Control (AMC) personnel at Halu Oleo Airport, inspection records are still maintained manually using logbooks, with findings often communicated through WhatsApp groups. This approach presents challenges in data accuracy, traceability, and long-term documentation. To address these issues, this study focuses on developing a web-based application for apron inspection management that aims to streamline data recording, improve reporting efficiency, and ensure better data archiving practices.

The system was developed using a 4D instructional model consisting of Define, Design, and Develop stages excluding the Disseminate phase, as the application has not yet been officially handed over to the airport authority. The backend was built using Node.js, data storage was handled via MySQL, and the user interface was designed with Bootstrap to ensure a responsive layout. Each development stage was tailored to meet the operational workflow and specific needs of AMC personnel.

The testing results indicate that the apron inspection management system features a user-friendly interface and effectively supports digital checklist submissions. Core functionalities such as electronic forms, automated data storage, and Excel export capabilities operate smoothly and align with the operational needs of AMC personnel. The system has proven to be a viable replacement for the previous manual process and is expected to serve as a reliable solution for enhancing efficiency, data accuracy, and structured documentation of inspection activities at Halu Oleo Airport.

    Edlyn Fairus Rofikaz , born in Tuban on July 07, 2004. The first child of Mr. Minar Rofik and Mrs.Nur Azizah. Residing in Jl. Raya Taman Bunga No.96 Perumahan Garden Dian Regency Kec.Waru Kab. Sidoarjo, East Java. Started his education at Muslimat from 2008 to 2010. Then continued his education at SDN BANGILAN 1 in 2010 and graduated in 2016. Continued his junior high school at SMP AL-FALAH ASSALAM in 2016 and graduated in 2019. Continued his senior high school at SMAN 1 WARU in 2019 and graduated in 2022. Then in 2022 he was accepted as a cadet at the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic in the Diploma III Air Transportation Management Study Program, Batch VIII

    Dewi Ratna Sari was born in Padang, on June 9, 1969. She obtained a master's degree in management at the University on August 17 1945. Her research interests are in management, especially business. The author is a management lecturer in all study programs at the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic, Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia.

  • Ade Irfansyah, Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya

    Ade Irfansyah was born on November 25, 1980, in Rangkaspitung, and is a civil servant at the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic. In 2004, he earned a bachelor’s degree in electoral engineering from the National University of Bandung. He also earned a master’s degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology in 2009. He is currently completing his doctoral program at the State University of Surabaya. He is a lecturer in Air Navigation Engineering under the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic Indonesia.

    Lady Silk Moonlight

    was born in Surabaya, Indonesia, in 1987. She received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Informatics Engineering from Trunojoyo University in 2009 and a Master of Engineering degree in Informatics from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 2013. Her research interests include information technology, artificial intelligence, information systems, computer science, digital image processing, and computer networks.
