Welcome to Application, Information System and Software Development Journal (Appissode Journal), Volume 4, Number 2, June 2026. This issue highlights the growing role of information systems and software development in addressing practical challenges across aviation, public services, and data analytics. The published articles demonstrate how digital transformation continues to improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, transparency, and decision-making through innovative web-based solutions and intelligent computing approaches.

A prominent theme throughout this edition is the modernization of airport and aviation operations. Several studies present the development of web-based information systems designed to replace conventional manual processes. These include a Safety Management System (SMS) reporting platform that strengthens hazard reporting and safety culture within an aviation educational institution; a digital Vehicle Driving Permit (TIMK) application system that streamlines administrative procedures at Hang Nadim International Airport; and two independent innovations for Apron Movement Control (AMC), focusing on digital logbooks and integrated aircraft movement reporting systems that support real-time operational monitoring, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance data accessibility.

These contributions consistently demonstrate the application of established software engineering methodologies, including ADDIE and Prototype development models, supported by modern web technologies such as PHP, Laravel, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Through systematic validation, usability evaluation, and functional testing, the authors illustrate how user-centered system development can successfully address operational inefficiencies while supporting digital governance within aviation organizations.

Beyond aviation information systems, this issue also extends into the field of intelligent data analysis. The inclusion of research on sentiment analysis using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning techniques reflects the expanding scope of software development toward extracting valuable insights from textual data. This demonstrates that software engineering today not only focuses on developing information systems but also increasingly incorporates artificial intelligence and data-driven decision support.

Collectively, the articles in this issue reflect several emerging trends: the transition from manual to digital workflows, the integration of web technologies into operational environments, the importance of human-centered system design, and the adoption of intelligent computational methods for organizational improvement.
